Rules & Regulations

Please read and agree to the rules and regulations of joining the centre:

Rules & Regulations

The management has the right to amend or add to the rules. Recent updates of the centre rules can be obtained from the Centre’s website.

1.0     GENERAL

​

1.1       To we ensure that the enrolment places are used suitably and efficiently, the centre has the right to suspend or give one full school term to permanently exclude the child if he/she does not abide by the centre rules, or are not working to their full potential. This also applies if the management feels that the relationship between the parent/guardian of the child and the management is not conductive, as the welfare of the child is most important. 

 

1.2       Fees are non-refundable and parents will be liable to pay one term’s fees from the date of written notice to leave. 

Any parent whose child is leaving the centre for any reason must also give the centre a term’s notice in writing. Otherwise they will be charged for the following full term’s fees.

 

1.3       When students will be absent or late, parents are required to inform Mrs Dodwal (Head of Centre) as soon as you are aware this will occur. 

 

1.4       Incorrect information provided to the centre by the parent/guardian on admission or otherwise throughout the course of the student’s education will affect the child’s enrolment status. In addition, the centre must be notified of changes made to their addresses, phone numbers, emergency contacts and medical details etc.

 

1.5       Failure to pay the correct amount of fees, exam money or text book money on time will result in the student not being allowed to attend the centre until all amounts owed to the centre are paid. A late payment may result in your child losing his/her place in the centre. Please note fees must be paid by the first day of the new term. Exam fees must be paid by deadline or the centre cannot guarantee the child examination entry.  A failure to pay overdue fees will result in court action.

 

1.6       Parents with any problems or concerns regarding their child should contact Mrs Dodwal (Head of Centre), or any member of staff to ensure the matter is dealt with in the best possible manner. Complaints will be dealt with the accordance with our Complaints Procedure which is available on request from the centre.

 

1.7       Children carrying money must hand it in to the office on arrival to the centre in the morning and receipt obtained. Responsibility for lost/stolen money will not be accepted by the centre.

 

1.8       We do not provide food on site.  Students must bring packed lunch or purchase food from the local shops.  Food delivery services such as Uber Eats, Deliveroo etc cannot be used.

 

1.9       Homework must be handed in on time. Homework and class-work must be of an acceptable standard and failure to do well in the tests and end of year exams may result in one term’s notice being given to the parents of the student, to find another centre.

 

1.10     Students must have correct books/stationery etc at all time. This will be considered as a minor offence however, repeated failure to have the correct books and stationary can result in one term’s notice being given to the student and parents to find another centre.

 

1.11     Subjects choices at G.C.S.E. and A Level and exam entries are at the discretion of the centre.

 

1.12     Students will not be allowed to “drop lessons” (decide not to sit certain exams) without the appropriate written consent given to the centre by the parent/carer. 

 

2.0     DISCIPLINE

 

2.1       When a student misbehaves, lunchtimes detentions are a common form of discipline. Parents will be informed if these decisions when the matter occurs. 

 

2.2       Chewing Gum is an unhygienic habit and is not permitted on the centre premises. This offence will not be classified under minor offences.

 

2.3       Mobile phones/MP3 players/ Ipads/ tablets/smart watches/ computer consoles/ games and other electrical items are not permitted to be used on the centre premises. The centre does not take any responsibility for confiscated or lost/ stolen items. 

 

2.4       Parents are reminded that punctuality and attendance is monitored daily. Students must never miss lessons or leave the centre premises during school time without consent from Mrs Dodwal. If the centre has any concerns regarding this matter and the parent fails to help to rectify this problem, one term’s notice may be given to the student and parent to find another school.

 

2.5       All students must respect individual faiths and cultures.

 

2.6       Any child caught bullying or intimidating other students or causing any kind of physical harm will be dealt with as a serious offence. However, the management may decide to suspend or expel the child immediately to avoid any further danger to the students.

 

2.7       Vandalism to the centre property will not be tolerated. This includes theft of centre property or other student’s property. This will be treated as a serious offence and parents will be liable to pay for damage caused by their child. Parents should be aware that this behaviour could lead to permanent exclusion.

 

2.8       Students found in possession of or associated with offensive weapons or bladed articles will be treated as a serious offence. 

 

2.9       Students found in possessions of or associated with any (toxic) substances eg: - cigarettes, vapes, drugs and alcohol etc will be dealt with as a serious offence.

 

2.10     Students found endangering the health and safety of other members of the centre will be dealt with as a serious offence. However, parents should be aware that any student found hampering with the fire extinguisher will be immediately expelled and the parents will liable to pay for damages.

 

2.11     Anyone found bringing strangers onto the premises without consent from the centre, will be dealt with as a serious offence.

 

2.12     Students who defiantly (verbally or otherwise) refuse to follow teachers’ instruction, who answers teachers or staff in an aggressive or inappropriate manner, use rude language or disturb other pupils, will not be tolerated. This behaviour will be treated under minor offences but parents are reminded that minor offences can lead to permanent exclusion but will be at the discretion of the management. 

 

2.13     If a student displays bad behaviour outside of centre hours and misrepresents the centre this includes inappropriate/bad behaviour during school trips/outings will be dealt with as a serious offence.

 

3.0     UNIFORM 

 

3.1       While we do not have a formal uniform which students are required to wear, students must dress in suitable clothing at all times.

 

4.0       FEES

 

Fees will increase 5% each year. From 1st September 2025 the centre fees are as follow:

 

4.1       Registration

 

A one off, non-refundable, £200.00 registration fee per child.

 

4.2      Books and Resources

 

Students must purchase their own resources.  We do not provide text books, workbooks, exercise books or stationary.  

 

4.3       Key Stage 3 ( Years 7 & 8)

 

Fees for 2025/2026 - £1890 per term, £5670 for the year for the 8 subject package.  Extra subjects (when taking the package) are charged at £210 per subject, per term.  For individual subjects (when not taking the package) these are charged at £368 per subject, per term.

 

4.4       Key Stage 4 ( Years 9, 10 & 11)

 

Fees for 2025/2026 - £2205 per term, £6615 for the year for the 8 subject package.  Extra subjects (when taking the package) are charged at £263 per subject, per term.  For individual subjects (when not taking the package) these are charged at £420 per subject, per term.

 

4.5       Key Stage 5 ( Years 12 & 13)

 

Fees for 2025/2026 - £2625 per term, £7875 for the year for the 3 subject package.  Extra subjects (when taking the package) are charged at £1155 per subject, per term.  For individual subjects (when not taking the package) these are charged at £1313 per subject, per term.  For science subjects, practical exams will be charged at £300 per subject.

 

4.6       Exam Fees

 

Exam fees for GCSE, AS & A’level exams are charged separately.  The costs of these are based on the subjects taken.

 

4.7       Retake Subjects

 

GCSE & A’level : £1076 per subject, per term
